Shift Pattern: Monday–Friday 9am-5 pm (37.5 hours)
Pay : £ 19.78
Are you an experienced Clinical Engineer with the skills to hit the ground running? Then this is a fantastic opportunity for someone with advanced expertise in the maintenance, repair, and safety testing of high-risk medical devices. Based exclusively at Royal Berkshire Hospital, you'll work with minimal supervision and must be confident operating independently across critical clinical environments including Maternity, Theatres, Emergency Department, and Critical Care.

Job Duties
· Diagnose, repair, test, and maintain a wide range of high-risk, patient-critical medical devices.
· Respond independently to equipment breakdowns and service requests with minimal supervision.
· Provide technical advice and guidance to clinical staff on the safe and effective use of medical equipment.
· Perform acceptance testing, software/hardware upgrades, and device commissioning.
· Ensure full compliance with MHRA, ISO standards, and Trust medical device policies.
· Maintain accurate service records in the CEMED asset management system.
· Train and support junior technicians in repair and maintenance procedures.
· Assist in evaluations, trials, and procurement of new equipment as required.
You'll have the following skills/experience:
· Degree in Clinical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or related field
· Minimum 3 years' experience in a hospital-based Clinical Engineering or EBME department
· Registered Clinical Technologist (RCT) or working towards registration
· Demonstrated experience working on High-risk patient-critical devices and In departments such as Maternity, ED, Theatres, ICU
· Able to work independently and manage own workload
· Good understanding of ISO standards and MHRA guidelines
· Strong communication and teamwork skills
· Comfortable working in clinical areas, sometimes under pressure
