NMB Minebea UK Ltd is a global leader in the design and manufacture of precision spherical bearings, rod ends and landing gear components for aerospace, defence and industrial sectors. As part of the MinebeaMitsumi Group, the company supplies major manufacturers including Airbus and Rolls-Royce. As the business continues to grow, it is now seeking a Production / Process Engineer to strengthen engineering support and drive continuous improvement across key production areas in Lincoln (LN6 3RA).
Production-Process Engineer
As the Production / Process Engineer, your responsibilities will include:
Providing day-to-day production engineering support to the Cold Forming Press Section, Clean Area, and Bench Assembly areas
Analysing manufacturing processes to identify opportunities for process improvement, scrap reduction, and increased robustness
Developing, implementing, and maintaining standardised procedures, work instructions and process documentation
Leading and supporting continuous improvement initiatives aligned with business objectives
Investigating process issues, non-conformances and scrap; completing root cause analysis and implementing effective corrective actions
Supporting CAPEX projects, including justification, specification and implementation of new equipment or tooling
Working closely with Process Technicians, Leading Hands and Production teams to ensure stable and capable processes
Supporting new product and process introductions, including trials, validation and handover to production
Monitoring and improving process capability, yield and OEE (where applicable)
Ensuring all activities comply with Health & Safety, Quality and Environmental standards
As the Production / Process Engineer, you will bring:
An engineering qualification (apprenticeship-trained or equivalent) and proven manufacturing experience
A strong understanding of manufacturing processesideally within press, cold forming or high-volume production
A structured, methodical approach with strong problem-solving skills
The ability to work effectively with shop-floor teams and technical specialists
Clear communication and strong interpersonal skills
A Quality and Health & Safety focused mindset
Desirable (but not essential):
HNC in Engineering (or working towards)
Experience supporting lean / CI activity
Exposure to process capability, scrap analysis, and robustness improvement
Basic knowledge of equipment introduction / capital projects

Hours & shift pattern (A/B rotation):
A Shift: MonThu 6:00am1:35pm, Fri 6:00am12:45pm
B Shift: MonThu 1:25pm9:05pm, Fri 12:35pm7:00pm (20% premium)
(Overtime available when required.)
