Responsibilities
The Sales Engineer will be selling a full range of high quality Industrial Control and Automation products, i.e. Control Gear, Switchgear and Circuit Protection, Variable Speed Drives, Sensors, PLC, HMI, Enclosures, Cable Management and consumables, and Process Instrumentation. The role also involves providing customised and packaged solutions into the OEM, End User, System Integrator and Panel Builder markets across the M62/M180 corridor, West Yorkshire, and parts of Greater Manchester and Cheshire.
Induction and ongoing training will be provided, but the successful candidate must have sales and technical experience in the Industrial Automation industry, a record of sales success, and the ability to demonstrate knowledge and sales skill. A formal qualification in an Electrical/Electronic discipline is desirable but not essential; further career development training to enhance sales skills is a plus.
Work to achieve defined sales targets, develop a personal plan, manage and further develop an existing portfolio of accounts, and identify new avenues of business. The role requires Monday to Friday availability, road travel, excellent organisational and communication skills, teamwork, autonomy, and proficiency with Microsoft packages.
