Join our team as an Assistant Management Accountant.
We're looking for an Assistant Management Accountant to assist our Finance Business Partner (Asset Management) and support budget holders in delivering an efficient, cost-effective service aligned with strategic and business objectives.
This is a 6-month fixed-term role, offering an opportunity to support our expanding Asset Management team and reinvestment programmes, contributing to our mission of investing in people and places for a sustainable future.
What You'll Be Doing:
In this collaborative role, you'll provide essential financial support, drive financial insight, and ensure accuracy across the business.
Key responsibilities include:
* Budget forecasting, journal posting, transaction matching, and managing purchase-to-pay transactions.
* Producing accurate accounting information for management and statutory accounts, including variance notes for the Group and Platform Property Care.
* Supporting budget holders and collaborating across departments to support growth and success.
What We're Looking For:
* Experience in accounting within a large, complex organization with substantial budgets.
* Ability to meet challenging deadlines for accounting information.
* Skills in analyzing complex data, research, performance appraisal, and risk management.
* Proficiency in digital technology within a finance environment.
* AAT level 3 (or equivalent).
* Strong communication skills to support and engage budget holders.
This role is home-based but requires travel to Group offices (Central Park, Worcester and Birmingham Business Park, Solihull) approximately twice a month.
