As a Civils Estimator, you'll be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for a variety of civil engineering works, including earthworks, drainage, roads and utilities. You'll work closely with the pre-construction and delivery teams to ensure tenders are commercially sound and aligned with client expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare detailed cost estimates from first principles
* Analyse drawings, specifications and project requirements
* Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotes
* Identify risks, opportunities and value engineering options
* Support bid submissions and attend tender review meetings
* Maintain and update estimating databases and cost libraries
What We're Looking For:
* Proven experience in a similar Estimator role within civil engineering or groundworks
* Strong understanding of construction methods, materials and pricing
* Proficient in estimating software and Microsoft Excel
* Excellent analytical and numerical skills
* A background in site engineering, quantity surveying or project management would be highly beneficial
