We are looking for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to work within our well-established 24-hour Hospital based in Shrewsbury, Shropshire.
Your average day will include a variety of nursing duties as well as assisting with clinical coaching within the practice. You will be supported by a wonderful and experienced nursing team, many of whom have completed or are undertaking certificates such as in anaesthesia and analgesia, or medical and surgical nursing.
We have excellent diagnostic equipment at the hospital, including a CT scanner, multiparameters, K laser, endoscope, and a laparoscopic kit. We also have a wide range of lab equipment, including an Imagyst.
We are offering a full-time position of 40 hours per week, which includes a 1 in 6 weekend rota, a bank holiday shift every 18 months, and on-call duties 1-2 weeks per year.

In This Role You Will
* Deliver exceptional care to clients and patients.
* Support surgeries and procedures, completing all pre- and post-procedure activities.
* Carry out nurse-led appointments and schedule activities.
* Monitor and care for patients.
* Manage admissions and discharges as directed by the Veterinary team.
* Complete patient transfers to out-of-hours or enhanced care.
* Dispense and check medication.
* Maintain professional standards, complying with all regulatory, practice, and operational guidelines.
* Hold team briefings to coordinate practice activities effectively.
Your Skills And Experience
* RCVS registered Veterinary Nurse.
* Experience in delivering exceptional patient and client care.
* Effective team player.
* Supportive of nurse consultations, with an understanding of their impact on practice performance.
* Skilled in coaching and influencing colleagues for optimal team performance.
