Senior National Account Manager (Retail)

Location: Hybrid (Nottingham-based office with flexible remote working)

Salary: £55,000 + 15–20% bonus


Must Have:

Retail experience with major UK retailers such as Boots, Superdrug, Holland & Barrett, Tesco, Sainsbury’s, or similar.

Operating within the VMS, sports nutrition, and healthcare categories, we drive growth through expert account management, product development, and in-house brand marketing. The Role


We are seeking a proactive and commercially driven Senior National Account Manager to develop and execute retail strategies across major UK accounts. This is a commercially focused role combining business development and account growth, ideal for someone with a strong hunter mindset who excels within a lean, high-performing team.


Key Responsibilities


* Own and drive growth across key high street accounts
* Develop and implement retail strategies to optimise brand performance
* Build and strengthen relationships with retailers and brand partners
* Identify and secure new listings across existing and new retail accounts
* Develop and negotiate Joint Business Plans (JBPs)
* Collaborate cross-functionally with product development and marketing teams to launch new products
* Conduct data analysis to track sales performance, market trends, and growth opportunities
* Support forecasting, budgeting, and performance tracking
* Provide strategic insight to improve product positioning, pricing, and promotional activity


Skills & Experience Required


* Proven track record of achieving and exceeding commercial targets
* Strong negotiation, presentation, and closing skills
* Experience managing P&Ls, sales data, and category insights
* Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
* Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills
* Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and relevant reporting tools


Mandatory Requirements


* Proven experience in retail account management
* Minimum 3+ years’ experience as an Account Manager
* Experience managing accounts such as Boots, Superdrug, Holland & Barrett, Tesco, Sainsbury’s, or similar
* Ability to work at least 2 days per week from the Nottingham office
* Comfortable working in a hybrid model


Package & Benefits


* £55,000 base salary
* 15–20% performance-related bonus
* 25 days holiday + bank holidays
