1:1 SEND Support Work - Full time Wetherby £92 - £110 Per Day Temporary to Permanent Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are: recent experience, obtained within the last 2 years, of working with children or young people, ideally within a school, nursery, childcare, youth work, play or care setting. Or, aptitude demonstrated through application and interview to work within this sector. We must be able to obtain references from these roles. The Role Do you have a passion for working with people? We are recruiting for prospective SEND Support Workers and Teaching Assistants seeking full time opportunities (Monday to Friday, term time). These roles have the potential to become permanent, contracted employment for the right candidates. The Special Needs Teaching Assistant / 1:1 SEN Support Staff member will: Assist teachers who are delivering lessons, Work 1-1 with pupils with high-level, complex needs Manage and support learners who may experience challenging behaviours Maintain a safe, positive, fun environment for learning Contribute to an effective team working to the highest of standards for children and young people Requirements To be considered for the Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant role, you will either: Have previous experience of working with children or young people; ideally within a school, nursery, childcare, youth work, play or care setting within the last 2 years and must be able to obtain valid references from these roles. Or be able to demonstrate the transferable skills, aptitude, willingness to undergo training and a commitment to work within education All candidates must hold, or be prepared to undergo an Enhanced DBS, registered to the Update Service Vision for Education is committed to safeguarding children, young people and vulnerable adults. All staff we register will undertake thorough interviewing and referencing checks and hold, or be prepared to undergo, an Enhanced DBS check that must be registered on the Update Service.
