Our client, an established and growing business based in North Yorkshire, is seeking an experienced Assistant Finance Manager to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional looking to take on a varied and responsible role within a diverse and supportive group.
This is a full-time role offering a four day work week, with every Friday off.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts including journals, prepayments, accruals and fixed asset schedules
Variance analysis and management reporting to support senior decision-making
Processing and administration of monthly payroll
Stock valuation and reconciliation procedures
Credit control activities including customer credit checks and account monitoring
Supervision of finance staff and resolution of day-to-day queries
Involvement in VAT compliance, statutory reporting and year-end processes (dependent on experience)
Candidate Requirements
AAT qualified or part qualified ACCA / CIMA (Support can be offered for qualifications)
Previous experience in a management accounting or similar finance position
Experience working within an SME environment would be advantageous
Strong working knowledge of accounting software and Microsoft Office
Well-organised with excellent attention to detail
Able to work on own initiative and as part of a team
Full UK driving licence required as occasional travel between sites will be necessarySalary to £35,000 plus profit share bonus, 25 days annual leave.
