SALT is supporting a global enterprise software business operating across multiple billing models and international customers.
This Billing Representative role sits within a Billing Operations team, focused on ensuring efficient and accurate billing through third‑party payment portals. The role exists to support complex billing scenarios, portal onboarding, and automation initiatives across the order‑to‑cash function. You’ll work closely with Billing leadership, Sales, Finance, Legal, IT and external customers.
KEY CONTRACT DETAILS
* 12 month contract
* Onsite working in Reading
* £18.00 per hour (umbrella payroll)
WHAT YOU’LL DO
* Manage customer billing requests related to third‑party portals, including vendor onboarding and portal registrations
* Own and resolve complex portal and billing issues across automated payment systems
* Document and refine end‑to‑end billing and portal processes, identifying efficiency and automation opportunities
* Partner with IT to drive system, integration and process improvements
* Collaborate with Sales, Finance, Legal and Deal Desk to ensure accurate billing and compliance
* Act as a billing SME, supporting escalations, integrations and knowledge sharing across the team
ABOUT YOU
* 3+ years’ experience in a software or high‑tech billing function
* Strong hands‑on experience with third‑party billing portals (e.g. Ariba, Coupa, Tungsten, Taulia)
* Deep knowledge of invoicing, collections and order‑to‑cash processes
* Advanced reporting and data skills (Excel, Power BI, macros, databases)
* Experience supporting complex contracts, customer negotiations and billing escalations
