We are seeking a committed Behaviour Mentor to join a Hove school, providing targeted support to pupils in need of behavioural guidance and emotional support.

About the Role
The Behaviour Mentor will provide one-to-one and small group support, helping pupils manage behaviour, improve engagement, and develop social and emotional skills. Your work will directly contribute to a positive school environment and help pupils thrive academically and personally.
Responsibilities
* Provide targeted behavioural support and mentoring to pupils
* Assist with emotional regulation and social skills development
* Collaborate with teachers and SEN staff to implement individual support plans
* Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching staff
* Promote positive behaviour and engagement throughout the school day
Qualifications & Skills
* Experience supporting pupils with behavioural needs or SEMH requirements
* Knowledge of behaviour management strategies and SEN provision
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* Patience, empathy, and adaptability to respond to individual pupil needs
This role provides the opportunity to make a tangible difference in pupils’ learning and daily school experience. Please be advised that this role requires a strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection and that successful applicants must satisfy all background safer recruitment checks; including providing an enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service, or completing an application for a new check.
