Haematology Consultant Specialising in Lymphoma
Apply for the Haematology Consultant Specialising in Lymphoma role with Hywel Dda University Health Board at Withybush General Hospital. The position is part of a new strategic redesign of haematology services across the Health Board, adding a lymphoma subspecialty to a 7‑person consultant team that delivers comprehensive haematology care to the four main hospitals and several community sites in West Wales.
Responsibilities
* Demonstrate clinical experience in the management of lymphoma and general haematology; develop the subspecialty across the Health Board in partnership with generalist consultants.
* Participate in the attending and on‑call rota for the Haverfordwest site and provide consultative input at the three peripheral sites.
* Attend 3–4 outpatient clinics per week (lymphoma and general haematology); may take on additional subspecialty workload as experience allows.
* Contribute to the weekly health board‑wide MDT and other multidisciplinary teams across Wales.
* Deliver 10 clinical sessions with 20% non‑clinical work (SPA) per week, including virtual clinics where appropriate.
* Support and help develop the rural haematology service to ensure excellent patient care.
* Represent the department in meetings, training, and on‑call responsibilities.
Qualifications & Registration
* GMC registered on the specialist register or expected to obtain CCT within 6 months.

* Five community hospitals: Amman Valley, Llandovery, Tregaron, Tenby, South Pembrokeshire

* 47 general practices, 97 community pharmacies, 43 general ophthalmic practices, and 8 ophthalmic domiciliary providers
