Job Title: Accounts Assistant
Contract Type: Full time
Start Date: ASAP
Location: Hybrid home/Nottingham office (2/3 days a week)
Role Overview
This is a key role within The Inkey List's finance team and will support the businesses ambitious growth plans You will contribute to the effective delivery of a high-quality service in the transactional finance team and play a key part in both the accounts payable and accounts receivable functions of the business.
Duties to include:
 * Processing high volumes of both purchase and sales invoices. Communication with the wider business will be key to ensure our PO process is adhered to and customers are invoiced accurately and on time.
 * Debtor reporting, debt chasing to ensure prompt payment, raising credit notes, customer queries and producing customer statements
 * Dealing with accounts payable queries
 * Reconciliation of banks and supplier ledgers following payment run, including production of remittances to suppliers
 * Communicating and flagging issues to transactional team leader
 * Ad-hoc duties such as credit card reconciliations, supplier set up and month end support as well as providing cover and support to other members of the transactional team
Key skills and experience
 * Minimum of 3 years' experience in relevant roles
 * Part Qualified or Qualified AAT
 * Highly organised and commercially aware
 * Proactive and self-motivated approach
 * Demonstrative problem-solving skills
 * Ability to prioritise and manage multiple responsibilities
 * Focus on continuous process improvement
 * The ability to present financial information to a non-finance audience in a clear concise manner is essential
 * Team player looking to grow in this role and within the company
 * Proficient in Microsoft applications, especially Excel (intermediate)
 * Systems knowledge of Netsuite (useful)
