Job Description
We are looking for experienced Project Managers to develop their career into a senior position. This role involves working on a range of industry‑leading infrastructure projects across transportation, utilities, and highways.
Main Purpose of Role
* Lead Project Management Commissions, taking responsibility for end‑to‑end service delivery on large or complex projects.
* Act as the key, day‑to‑day client interface, ensuring that client objectives are met and that projects are delivered to time and cost targets with appropriate quality standards.
Scope
Senior Project Managers will handle commissions of varying sizes, typically £10m to £25m. Advisory projects may be larger.
Key Accountabilities
* Advising at a strategic level at the project inception stage, providing guidance on approaches to achieve client objectives.
* Preparing and maintaining definitions of project requirements and success criteria.
* Establishing effective project governance, processes and systems.
* Creating and maintaining schedules, master project plans.
* Managing project development in accordance with approved plans and targets.
* Developing and implementing resource plans and procurement.
* Leading and facilitating the overall cross‑functional project team.
* Monitoring performance, applying KPI techniques.
* Managing the change control process.
* Developing and agreeing budgets, controlling forecast and actual costs.
* Managing flow of project information between team and client via meetings and written communications.
* Identifying and monitoring project risks and planning risk mitigations.
* Preparing formal project progress and other reports.
* Leading client interfacing with consultants and stakeholders at all project stages.
* Advising on Health & Safety and Environmental issues and risks.
* Planning and managing quality, safety, health, and environment issues.
Qualifications
* Experience in a complex stakeholder environment.
* NEC3: ECC Project Manager accreditation (preferred).
* Chartered/qualified with ICE, APM, RICS, etc. (preferred).
* Degree‑qualified in a construction‑related subject.
