We are recruiting for an experienced CNC Miller/Programmer to join a leading precision engineering company based in Coventry (CV7), West Midlands. This role is ideal for a CNC Machinist with strong CNC programming, CNC setting and CNC operating experience, particularly within a fast-paced machine shop environment.
Location:
Based in Coventry (CV7) – ideal for candidates from Coventry, Nuneaton, Bedworth, Birmingham, Leicester, Hinckley & surrounding areas.
Pay:
£15.00 – £17.50 per hour, depending on experience
Hours:
1. Mon–Thurs: 6:45am – 4:00pm
2. Fri: 6:45am – 11:45am
Key Responsibilities:
3. CNC Programming, Setting and Operating on milling machines
4. Offline CNC Programming (OneCNC preferred – training provided)
5. Producing 1-off and prototype components to tight tolerances
6. Using precision measuring equipment: micrometers, bore mics, depth mics etc.
7. Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
8. Working with Haas CNC machinery
9. Maintaining high levels of quality, accuracy and attention to detail
10. Meeting tight deadlines in a busy precision engineering environment
11. Following all health & safety procedures
Skills & Experience:
12. Proven experience as a CNC Miller, CNC Programmer, CNC Setter Operator, or CNC Machinist
13. Strong understanding of CAD/CAM or offline programming
14. Ability to work on tight tolerance machining
15. Background in precision engineering, automotive, aerospace or manufacturing (advantageous)
