At The Care & Support Group, we're thrilled to announce our expansion into Sunderland, having won a new contract. Our new office will be based in Sunderland, and this growth means we're recruiting Care Workers to deliver high-quality community care across the area.
We already operate across the North East and Yorkshire, with CQC-registered services providing domiciliary care, supported living, and specialist support. Joining us now means you'll be part of our growth story in Sunderland, helping us build our reputation locally.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver person-centred care in clients' homes: personal care, mobility support, meal support, medication prompts, companionship
* Travel between calls (walking or driving, depending on role)
* Record care activities accurately, updating care plans and reports
* Liaise with care coordinators / senior carers regarding changes or concerns
* Respect dignity, privacy, and promote independence for service users
* Work on a 3 days / 4 days alternating week rota, including every other weekend
* Be flexible to support rota gaps, emergencies, and occasional additional hours
What We're Looking For
* Empathy, reliability, a caring attitude
* Ability to travel between calls (walker roles or with access to a vehicle – driver roles)
* Good communication and record-keeping skills
* Some experience in care is desirable but not essential as we provide training
* Willingness to follow company policies around safeguarding, CQC, health & safety
* Flexibility to work the shifting rota including alternated weekends
* Eligible to work in the UK; sponsorship may be considered, but not guaranteed
