Learning Support Assistant – Secondary School, Daventry
Location: Daventry, Northamptonshire
Contract: Full-time | Term-Time Only | Permanent
Salary: £20,000–£22,000 FTE (actual salary dependent on hours/experience)
Start Date: September 2025
-----------------------------------
This is not a tick-box job.
This is the kind of work that stays with you.
We’re looking for a Learning Support Assistant who doesn’t just want to work in education — but wants to help change lives.
Someone who shows up, tunes in, and cares deeply — especially when things are tough.
You’ll be the quiet cheerleader, the safe adult, the calm presence, the daily difference.
What you’ll actually be doing:
* Supporting students who learn differently, think differently, and need you to see them
* Working in-class and out, breaking learning down in ways that click
* Building confidence, celebrating progress, and helping students feel proud of who they are
* Working alongside a passionate SEND and pastoral team who’ve always got your back
You’ll work with a mix of students – some with EHCPs, others needing a little boost – and be a vital bridge between them and their potential.
-----------------------------------
Who we’re looking for:
No superhero cape required. Just someone who is:
* Calm, kind, and quietly confident
* Emotionally intelligent and resilient
* Comfortable with difference, patient with progress, and fluent in encouragement
* A good communicator who can adapt, listen and lead without needing the spotlight
Experience in a similar role is great — but the right attitude matters more. Whether you’ve worked in schools, youth work, care, or even customer service, if you’ve got the heart and drive, we want to meet you.
-----------------------------------
What we offer:
* A warm, inclusive school community that values every adult and every learner
* A tight-knit SEND team that supports each other (and laughs often)
* Ongoing CPD, mentoring and chances to grow your career
* The opportunity to make a real difference — one student at a time

If you believe all young people deserve to be seen, supported, and celebrated — this is the job for you.
