About the Role
As House Manager, you'll be the heart of the communityproviding day-to-day support, ensuring resident safety, and maintaining a clean and secure environment. This is alive-in role, with accommodation provided on-site, along with all utility bills and rent covered.
Working Hours
37.5 hours per week 9 AM to 5 PM with ability to be on call for emergency's and will have to attend occasional resident meetings in evenings (once a quarter)
Key Responsibilities
* Be a visible and supportive presence for residents, offering help when needed.
* Maintain emergency contact and key safe records.
* Oversee weekly cleaning of communal areas and ensure health & safety compliance.
* Be on-call for emergencies outside of regular hours.
* Test fire alarms weekly and check laundry facilities.
* Manage contractor visits in line with procurement procedures.
* Open bin room weekly for refuse collection.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
* Previous experience working with over-55s or vulnerable adults.
* Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations.
* IT literate, especially with Microsoft Office products.
* Smart appearance (except during cleaning duties).
* Willingness to live on-site full-time.
