Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in their homes or care homes, assisting them with daily living activities and ensuring their comfort and well-being. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to delivering high-quality care and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and their families.
Responsibilities
* Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
* Support clients in meal preparation and feeding as needed.
* Help clients with mobility and transfers, ensuring their safety at all times.
* Implement care plans tailored to individual needs, maintaining accurate records of care provided.
* Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
* Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required.
* Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, adhering to health and safety regulations.
* Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the quality of life for clients.
Experience
* Previous experience in home care or a care home setting is preferred but not essential.
* Familiarity with IT systems for documentation purposes is advantageous.
* Strong communication skills in English are required to effectively interact with clients and team members.
* A valid driving licence is desirable for transporting clients when necessary.
