Brightpoint invites applications for an IT Support and Project Coordinator position to provide executive-level administrative support to the Chief Information Officer (CIO) and the IT Leadership Team while supporting the operational and project needs of the Information Technology department.
Responsibilities include composing, editing, and distributing correspondence, reports, and presentations; maintaining electronic and hardcopy records; coordinating departmental meetings and events; managing calendars, travel arrangements, and communications; and assisting IT staff as needed. The position prepares and processes requisitions through eVA, tracks purchases and vendor payments, reconciles departmental budgets, prepares bi-weekly financial reports, and serves as liaison with finance, vendors, and Shared Services staff.
The role also coordinates IT projects by maintaining project documentation and schedules, tracking milestones and budgets, facilitating communication among cross-functional teams, providing status updates to stakeholders, identifying risks, and supporting change management and continuous improvement efforts. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic IT environment while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality. 9. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and Windows Pro 11.
10. Experience in preparing and maintaining budget expenditures.
11. Experience in procurement, purchasing, and tracking purchases for management and IT staff.
12. Demonstrated experience supporting or coordinating projects, including planning tasks, tracking progress, and meeting deadlines.
13. Familiarity with basic project management principles, tools, or methodologies to support cross-functional initiatives.
14. Experience in scheduling travel for staff.
15. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
16. Excellent organization and time management skills
Successful completion and passing of a background check is required.Additional Considerations:
17. Associates Degree or equivalent level Certification
18. Previous experience in an IT administrative support role
19. Previous experience with department requisitions into Virginia’s eProcurement Portal (eVA).
20. Experience in Project Management, preferably a certification or degree in Project Management
