The opportunity
Are you looking to take the next step in your underwriting career? We’re seeking a talented Trading Underwriter to join our Property & Casualty team in Glasgow, where you’ll manage and develop our existing business portfolio. You’ll play a key role in supporting profitable growth while building strong relationships with our brokers and clients.

What you’ll be doing:
* Assess and review existing business applications for property and casualty insurance.
* Evaluate risks, set appropriate coverage, and determine competitive premium rates.
* Gather and analyse information to make sound, informed underwriting decisions.
* Work closely with your colleagues and other professionals to ensure consistency and accuracy.
* Stay up to date with the latest industry trends, regulations, and best practices.
What you’ll bring:
* Experience as a property and casualty underwriter, ideally with a focus on existing business.
* Strong analytical skills and a keen eye for detail.
* Confidence working with complex information.
* Proficiency in underwriting systems and related tools.
* Sound knowledge of insurance regulations and industry standards.
* Great communication and relationship-building skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* A positive, professional attitude.
