Our client is a global data centre services organisation, steadily expanding their presence, and has a requirement for multiple shift engineers based at a Data Centre Facility in Essex. Working on a continental shift pattern, covering 12-hour days and nights, the role requires experienced multi-skilled building services or data centre engineers to undertake routine and reactive maintenance of electrical and mechanical systems in a highly critical environment. These sites are co-location facilities housing servers for blue-chip, household-name organisations, making uptime essential.
The guideline salary is up to £52,000 basic, along with an annual bonus. With opportunities for overtime and training, this presents an exceptional chance to join a market leader in a booming sector.

Duties:
1. Ensure all Critical Facility PPMs are carried out as scheduled and complete all reactive work requests in line with SLAs.
2. Perform daily emergency callout tasks.
3. Complete logbooks and RAMS.
4. Apply a risk-focused maintenance approach and operate plant and systems in data centres/critical environments.
5. Maintain all critical client services, including computer rooms, data networks, manufacturing, and revenue-generating services, to meet client requirements.
6. Provide emergency response standby, respond to call-outs, escalate urgent issues, and address work interruptions, outages, or emergencies in accordance with SLAs.
7. Support technical audits related to critical environments as directed by the line manager.
8. Maintain records and logs demonstrating the delivery of maintenance tasks.
9. Supervise contractors when required.
10. Conduct emergency lighting testing.
11. Perform electrical work including lighting, wiring, testing, alarm systems, BMS, lighting systems, and heat exchangers.
12. Demonstrate knowledge of AHU, FCU, UPS, Generators, LV systems, with fault-finding capabilities.
Requirements:
* Trade trained with ideally 3 years’ experience in building services.
* City & Guilds Qualified Electrical Level 3.
* Experience working on critical sites such as data centres or banking sites.
