Our client is dedicated to helping homeless people across London find secure accommodation and work towards a positive future. They support homeless individuals to recover from personal issues and break down barriers they face. Recognizing that homelessness involves more than just housing, they provide various accommodation and support services to help individuals reach their full potential.
They are currently seeking a passionate Integrated Outreach Team Leader to lead their outreach team and support the delivery of their services.
Responsibilities:
* Provide visible leadership to the Outreach Team, fostering a positive and supportive environment.
* Manage a team of Rough Sleeper Outreach Workers and Navigators, ensuring delivery of services to rough sleepers.
* Oversee HR processes in line with organizational policies.
* Manage team expenses and petty cash in accordance with policies.
* Ensure high performance and achievement of KPIs within your team.
* Oversee daily operations of the Outreach Team.
* Ensure outreach interventions meet commissioner expectations and address the needs of rough sleepers.
* Act as escalation point for concerns from your team, rough sleepers, and partner agencies.
* Prioritize health and safety for staff and service users.
* Deliver and oversee quality assurance and audit activities for outreach services.
* Manage safeguarding activities to protect vulnerable individuals.
* Develop partnerships to enhance service delivery.
* Represent the organization at meetings.
* Address cultural, complex, and challenging needs as documented in assessments and plans.
* Identify and target rough sleepers, including those initially unwilling to engage.
* Manage a caseload, providing ongoing support.
Candidate Profile:
* Experience in outreach services and understanding support needs like mental health and substance misuse.
* Empathy, passion, and commitment to supporting homeless and vulnerable people.
* Experience working with vulnerable populations.
* Willingness to participate in shift work for maximum engagement.
* Proactive in multi-agency collaboration and referrals.
* Ability to record accurate notes and complete forms promptly.
Desirable: Previous experience managing similar services or teams. A driving license is preferred.
