Duties
Uploads prepared job orders to operate several multi-head machines. Follows detailed instructions to operate machines repetitively for long periods in meeting the specified quotas of customer orders in preparing name tapes, patches and clothing items. Attention to detail is needed. Thread embroidery machines, wind bobbins, adjusts tension and oil machine parts. Helps maintain catalogs and files relating to the embroidery program and to customer orders. Identifies stock levels for re-ordering supplies as needed. Participates in monthly and annual inventory of supplies. Performs other related duties as assigned.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.
Qualifying Experience
Ability to follow oral and written instructions, work safely, and do simple arithmetic. Basic knowledge of embroider machine operation is desirable. Ability to read and understand simple signs and instructions.
Education
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution in order to qualify.
FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program. It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying.
