Job Responsibilities:
As a key member of the Oxford Bus Group Marketing Team, you will support the Marketing team in delivering a busy and varied portfolio of campaigns. With a strong focus on digital marketing, you will contribute to content creation, website updates, social media, and copywriting, as well as assisting with events, PR and wider marketing activities. Being a small and dynamic department, your duties will be varied and will change according to business needs, giving you excellent exposure across all areas of marketing.
* Collaborate with the Marketing Team to deliver the marketing strategy across diverse channels, including digital, print and social media.
* Write engaging copy for websites, blogs, PR articles, newsletters, email campaigns and other marketing materials.
* Create and schedule engaging content for social media channels, monitoring performance and supporting community management.
* Maintain company websites, ensuring information is accurate, timely and on-brand.
* Conduct market research and competitor analysis to inform decision-making and identify new opportunities.
* Assist with the planning and execution of marketing events and promotional campaigns, including occasional weekend work (with time off in lieu provided). Duties may include liaising with suppliers, coordinating logistics, and promoting events through various channels.
* Monitor and evaluate campaign performance using analytics tools, providing clear reports to measure success and suggest improvements.
* Liaise effectively with colleagues across Oxford Bus Group, local authorities, and external agencies/partners to ensure successful campaign delivery.
* Provide administrative support to the Marketing Team, including budget tracking, scheduling, and preparing reports.
* Act as a positive ambassador for Oxford Bus Group brands and for bus use more generally.
* Adhere to company policies and procedures, particularly in relation to health and safety, and operate in line with the company's vision and values.
* Undertake any other relevant duties within competence, as required by your line manager.
Qualifications:
Essential:
* A genuine passion for marketing, with either some prior experience (e.g. internship, placement, junior role, or volunteering) or demonstrable interest (e.g. relevant studies, personal projects, involvement in marketing-related activities).
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt tone and style for different audiences.
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
* Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with social media platforms.
* A proactive, flexible and positive approach to work, including willingness to work occasional weekends to support events.
Desirable:
* A marketing, communications or related qualification (or working towards one).
* Experience using content management systems and marketing tools (e.g. Canva, Google Analytics, Adobe Illustrator).
* Previous experience in copywriting, PR or digital content creation.
* Interest in public transport and its role in connecting communities.
