Position
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Lead Research and Development Facilitator within our Research and Development Team based at Lister Street, University Hospital Crosshouse.
Hours And Shift Pattern
0.4 FTE (15 hours per week), Monday to Friday. This post is offered on a permanent basis.
What You Will Do
You will be a member of the Research and Development team with responsibility for ensuring research activity aligns with Board’s strategic objectives and complies with statutory legislation and the Research Governance Framework. The role involves:
* Leading research and innovation engagement with internal and external stakeholders across health and social care.
* Designing, supporting and delivering training programmes for clinical and non-clinical staff.
* Supporting researchers and the organisation in project development, Patient and Public Involvement, and dissemination at national and international platforms.
* Deputising for the Senior Research Advisor when required.
Qualifications, Training & Experience
* Educated to degree level with a postgraduate qualification or equivalent specialised experience in research.
* In-depth knowledge of research governance, methodology, PPI, confidentiality, informed consent and wider ethical dimensions of research and innovation in health‑care.
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills to engage effectively with multidisciplinary teams and external organisations.
* Proven ability to design and deliver training programmes and facilitate stakeholder engagement.
* Working knowledge of relevant legislation and frameworks, including the Research Governance Framework and Good Clinical Practice guidelines.
* Competence in MS Office, statistical software (SPSS), and web‑based research systems.
* Evidence of continuous professional development.
Essential Requirements
Full UK driving licence is essential to this role.
