An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the dynamic team on Sycamore Ward at Whipps Cross Hospital as a Junior Sister. As part of our commitment to providing exceptional patient care, we also committed in leading and supporting our team's professional development.
We are an Elderly Medical Ward, a dementia friendly ward that provides visual clues and prompts to help our patients and the relatives find their way around. The ward has a 24-hour responsibility for the delivery of quality care to a maximum of 27 highly dependent elderly patients. Sycamore Ward team prides itself on delivering excellent patient-centred nursing care and working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team.
The successful candidate for the Junior Sister position will be required to demonstrate a proven track record of working experience as a Band 5 Nurse for at least 2 years. It is essential that the candidate can motivate and inspire others, working collaboratively with multi-disciplinary and multi-agency teams to ensure the highest standards of leadership, deputise in the absence of the Ward Manager, care, staff support, and service delivery. Strong communication skills and a positive attitude towards service developments are also crucial.
