Job Description
To carry out the duties as a Gas Engineer in accordance with Statutory Regulations, Company policies and Procedures. To assist the Team in producing a quality product meeting the requirements of the contract and in a safe manner. Adhere to all requirements set by SHEQ team, policy, and strategy. Ability to carry out servicing of gas appliances including boilers, fires, and cookers in a timely and safe manner.
To carry out general breakdowns and have the ability to diagnose and repair to achieve 1st time fix. Be part of an on-call Rota to cover Out of Hours breakdowns as required.
Key Accountabilities
1. Carry out work in a safe manner on Servicing, breakdowns and installs.
2. Maintain and care for all company tools and calibrated equipment.
3. To use appropriate safety equipment.
4. To wear appropriate clothing / uniform.
5. To ensure areas of work are left clean and tidy at the end of the day.
6. If a van is allocated, to be responsible for and take due care of the company van in accordance with the company car policy.
7. To be responsible for holding keys for communal entrances, meter cupboards and allow access where appropriate.
8. Liaison with the client, consultants, contract administrator, head office etc.
9. Material co-ordination and ordering.
10. Ensure accurate / timely completion of any relevant site-based documentation.
11. Use of a PDA or Tablet.
12. Undertake any training required by the Business for your role.
13. Any other reasonable management request.

Who are we looking for?
Qualifications
Domestic Gas ACS Elements CCN1, CENWAT, CKR1, CPA1, HTR1, MET1, CMDDA1 Unvented hot water Elements U/VHW Water Regulations 1999 Code WR1. City and Guilds Craft Certificate and Advanced Craft Certificate in Plumbing and Heating or Equivalent.
Skills and Abilities
1. Excellent organisational skills
2. Current and Valid Full & Clean UK driving license
3. Professional attitude and approach to work
Experience
1. Up to date relevant industry related knowledge
2. Up to date relevant knowledge of Health and Safety legislation
3. Minimum 2 years in a similar role
