Sysco GB are recruiting an additional Fleet Compliance Business Partner to join the Fleet Compliance team. A key role reporting to the Head of Fleet Compliance and working with the Sysco GB Ltd Organisations on all aspects of driver and vehicle compliance. Analyzing compliance data and trends through reports and using the current maintenance and tachograph compliance systems to enable support to the business's transport and fleet teams, ensuring the business meets the company's KPIs and criteria for DVSA Earned Recognition.

This role is home-based but requires extensive travel across the Sysco network, so a full UK driving license and willingness to travel are essential.
Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities
1. Review and analyze vehicle fleet compliance for statutory and legislative maintenance, including service and safety inspections, ancillary equipment certification, and calibration, addressing issues found.
2. Ensure driver compliance standards are met, aligning with KPIs for working time directives and tachograph infringements, in line with DVSA and Earned Recognition guidelines.
3. Monitor MOT pass rates regionally and nationally, working with the fleet engineering team to improve performance.
4. Support compliance with the company's commitments to Traffic Commissioner and O licence regulations.
5. Assist depots in aligning with Earned Recognition audit criteria and support compliance training for drivers.
6. Oversee vehicle daily walkaround procedures, ensuring standards are met through sampling and audits, and address any failings.
7. Manage projects directed by the Head of Fleet Compliance.
8. Collect and review performance metrics monthly, developing action plans for underperformance.
9. Review operator licenses for compliance and address non-conformities.
10. Handle manual entry error requests, amendments, and sanctions for repeat offenders.
11. Complete reports and follow-up actions for DVSA non-conformities outside KPIs.
12. Attend and represent the business during inspections by enforcement bodies or stakeholders, including DVSA and Traffic Commissioners.
13. Conduct depot investigations into serious incidents, analyzing data and presenting findings.
14. Collaborate on projects and tasks to uphold high standards within the team.
15. Support the maintenance of the business's reputation regarding Earned Recognition accreditation.
16. Review and update Fleet Compliance policies, implementing new procedures aligned with Earned Recognition, and support depot adherence.
To succeed, you should hold a transport management CPC qualification, possess excellent knowledge of operator undertakings and DVSA guidelines, and be capable of representing the business professionally to authorities. You must uphold high standards of integrity, demonstrate collaborative leadership, and build effective relationships internally and externally. A passion for compliance, a supportive attitude, and experience managing driver or fleet compliance are essential. Willingness to travel and occasional overnight stays are required.
