Arenko is using new technology to add flexibility to the grid and secure supply in this fast-changing industry, offering a huge variety of opportunities for the future. What’s the role?
We are seeking a talented and experienced Network Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in configuring Cisco routers and network hardware, coupled with a solid understanding of networking principles and protocols. Additionally, experience or a keen interest in AWS networking is highly desirable. The Network Engineer will play a key role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our network infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and security.
You will:
* Configure, deploy, and maintain Cisco routers, switches, and other network hardware.
* Design, implement, and manage network infrastructure solutions to support business requirements.
* Troubleshoot and resolve network issues in a timely manner, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
* Monitor network performance and implement enhancements to improve efficiency and reliability.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement network security measures, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems.
* Document network configurations, procedures, and policies.
Who are you?
Here at Arenko, we appreciate every single employee and the values they bring to the company so you might be completely different to what we expected. That being said, here’s a few things we’d love you to tick the boxes on;
* You have a degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or are able to demonstrate equivalent workplace experience.
* You have a minimum of 3 years of experience in network engineering roles.
* You’re proficient in configuring and managing Cisco routers, switches and other hardware.
* You have a strong understanding of networking concepts, protocols and principles.
* You have experience with network security technologies, such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPNs.
* You’re familiar with cloud networking concepts and services, particularly AWS networking (e.g., VPC, Direct Connect, Route 53).
* You hold certifications such as Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) are a plus.
* You have excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
* You have strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
* You’re able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
