We're exclusively recruiting for a Payroll Supervisor to join a fast-growing firm of chartered accountants in Kent. This is a hybrid position where you can work from home up to 3 days a week and in their Rochester office 2 days a week.
Our client is a fast-growing and ambitious, multi-sited practice with a modern approach to accounting. This role is suited for an experienced and technically competent Payroll Supervisor. The successful candidate will oversee payroll for a diverse portfolio of clients and support the wider team and Partners. They use BrightPay software and are open to candidates working on a hybrid or remote basis.
* Manage multiple payrolls for a diverse client portfolio.
* Support the team with processes related to payroll and benefits.
* Handle queries related to tax, benefits, salary, and allowances.
* Manage P11D’s and Annual Returns.
* Process CIS Returns, P60s, P45s, start letters, and induction documentation.
* Oversee auto-enrollment processes.
* Mentor and lead junior team members.
* Have knowledge of statutory pay claims and processes.
* Contribute to growing and developing the firm’s payroll services.
Requirements
* Proven experience leading payroll for a varied client portfolio (150-200 clients).
* Strong attention to detail.
* A proactive attitude to problem-solving.
* Self-motivated with good workload management skills.
* Excellent communication skills.
* A team player capable of mentoring and collaborating.
* High standards and motivation.
Benefits
* Salary: £35,000 - £42,000 per annum

This position will be supported by a large, experienced payroll team. Candidates should have at least 2 years of payroll experience, preferably within practice or bureau payroll software, and possess accountancy practice or bureau payroll experience.
