Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN Case Manager with inpatient care management experience and an active OR RN license.
Responsibilities Work in the Case Management unit of a short-term acute care teaching hospital
Manage an inpatient caseload with a ratio of 1:18
Day shifts, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
Floating between units and to affiliate hospitals is required based on skill set and facility need
Documentation is completed using Epic EMR and prior experience with Epic is required
Travelers must have a vehicle for commuting between facilities
Primary responsibilities include comprehensive case management and coordination of patient care for assigned inpatient cases
Travelers may float to nearby sister facilities, occasionally to Seaside with notice, and additional incentives for working at Seaside
Holiday coverage required for at least three of the following: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, or New Year's Day
Scrubs of any color are acceptable except in OR/Cath Lab where provided
Parking is free at the facility
Pre-assignment modules must be completed before the start date
Time off requests must be made during application and are limited to six total days or three consecutive days for auto-approval
Requirements Active OR RN license required (may submit with license pending if noted in job title)
Minimum of 1 year recent inpatient case management experience required
Prior experience with Epic EMR is required
Ability to float between facilities within the area as needed
Two supervisory references from the past three years covering at least one year of relevant employment are required
Candidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility for travel consideration
Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler
