The Best Connection are looking for an experienced Assembly Operative on a full-time basis in Shipley, BD17.
Some of the duties of an Assembly Operative will include but is not limited to:
* Assembly of metal components and products according to technical drawings, work instructions, and quality standards.
* Use of a variety of hand and power tools safely and effectively (e.g., drills, grinders, riveters, wrenches, etc.).
* Handle and prepare raw materials (metals) for assembly, including cutting, shaping, and finishing as required.
* Carry out quality checks during and after assembly to ensure accuracy and consistency.
* Maintain a clean and organised work area in compliance with health & safety standards.
* Report any defects, safety concerns, or equipment malfunctions to the supervisor promptly.
* Follow company policies, standard operating procedures and health & safety guidelines at all times.
* Assist with general production duties as required to support the team and meet deadlines.
To be successful in this role we are looking for the following skills & experience:
* Proven experience in an assembly, fabrication, or manufacturing environment-preferably working with metals.
* Competence in using hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently.
* Basic mechanical aptitude and understanding of assembly processes.
* Awareness and practical knowledge of workplace health & safety procedures (e.g., PPE, manual handling, risk assessment).
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings or assembly instructions (desirable).
* Good attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
* Team player with good communication and time management skills.
