Grounds Assistant
Location: Appletree Country Park, Boston, Lincolnshire
What we’re looking for
We need someone who will keep our grounds of the holiday park, in tip‑top condition and looking spectacular.
Who are we?
We’re a dynamic and growing company, shaking up the Great British holiday at our award‑winning UK resorts.
What you’ll be doing
You will be reporting to the Park Services Manager, working to required timescales, and maintaining a professional and friendly attitude. You will encounter guests at all times on the park.
As part of our team of holiday heroes, you will help the Park Services Manager to ensure everything is in good working order. Your work will include:
* Ensuring all work carried out is finished to the highest of standards.
* Operating machinery from ride‑on mowers to a pair of shears, ensuring safety and awareness of surroundings.
* Cutting grass, trimming bushes, planting and tending to flower beds, and other related tasks.
Guests and staff will look to you to fix what’s broken and restore order; you need to be confident, friendly and obliging in addition to your practical skills.
You will need to work bank holidays, evenings and weekends.
Skills, experience and qualities you’ll need
We will train you, but you need to have:
* An understanding of Health & Safety at work.
* Full driving licence.
* Previous experience and a love of gardening.
* Ability to think for yourself, be proactive, have great people skills, unfailing enthusiasm and extremely high standards of craftsmanship.
