Gradwell Park retirement village based in South Chailey, is on the lookout for a Housekeeper to work a zero hour contract. This is a Bank Position as and when work arises - covering sickness and holidays.

As a Housekeeper at our retirement village, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the cleanliness and tidiness of our residents' homes and communal areas.
Your responsibilities will include:
o Performing regular cleaning tasks in residents' apartments, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces.
o To always provide the highest standards of cleanliness and service
o Keeping communal areas such as lounges, dining areas, and hallways clean and presentable.
o To foster and maintain good relationships with the Residents.
o To report any faulty or damaged equipment, laundry, or machinery to the Housekeeping Supervisor
o To undertake the washing and ironing of bedding, table linen, towels and garments as instructed. Ensuring that all washing and ironing instructions are adhered to.
o Upholding high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the village.
o To use the correct cleaning products and equipment/appliances as instructed by the manufacturers
o To ensure the provision of a safe environment for Residents, staff, and visitors.
o To comply with all legislative requirements and local and Companywide policies and procedures relating to Health and Safety at Work.
Qualifications and Skills:
* Previous experience in housekeeping, preferably in a residential or hospitality setting.
* Strong attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently and independently.
* Excellent communication skills and a friendly, compassionate demeanour.
* Sensitivity to the needs and preferences of older adults.
* Willingness to undergo background checks and relevant training.
