HGV Technician - Carlisle
Salary: £18 per hour + OVERTIME + BONUS + PLUS £1000 SIGNING ON BONUS

Working Week | 39 Hours basic week + overtime available @ time and a half!
Covering a rotating shift:-
* week 1 0800hrs to 1630hrs
* week 2 0900hrs to 1730hrs
* week 3 1300hrs t o2130hrs

You will have:
* A Level 3 NVQ or equivalent in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance
* Previous experience working on HGV’s or have you completed an apprenticeship in the HGV industry
What you will do
* Our Technicians are responsible carrying out regular MOT service inspections on a wide range of manufacturers’ trucks. Fault finding, carrying out repairs on engines, gearboxes brakes, suspension systems etc.
* Carry out repairs to a high standard according to Volvo procedures, safely and responsibly
* Assist in the fault diagnosis process
* Service Customer Vehicles and complete service sheets.
* Road test vehicles when required (if you hold an HGV license)
* Assist with roadside breakdowns.
* Process all relevant paperwork relating to jobs accurately
* Ensure all vehicle defects are reported
* Keep all workshop facilities, equipment, and tools clean, tidy and well maintained
* Help us in supporting the development of trainees and apprentices
