Description About the job. At National Highways, we’re thrilled to offer an exciting opportunity for a Project Support Officer to join our Major Projects Directorate on a 12 month fixed term contract. In this role, you’ll play a key part in supporting the delivery of Projects within the Enhancements Division, providing essential project and administrative support to both internal and external stakeholders. You’ll ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Success in this role will require a proactive mindset and the ability to take the lead in driving project objectives forward. This role will be based from either our Leeds or Manchester office however travel to sites / offices throughout the region will be required. Operate many administrative processes, ensuring that these are delivered accurately on time and in line with defined procedures and standards. Co-ordinate high-quality responses for customer contacts and ensure correspondence is drafted and completed to the required performance standards for quality and timeliness. Support with project / programme governance and assurance requirements Develop and sustain effective working relationships with key stakeholders in National Highways and the supply chain. Monitor project inboxes to ensure they are managed effectively, distributing and raising key information with project team including Assistant Project Manager and Project Manager. About you. Ability to work with a wide variety of stakeholders and build strong relationships. Exceptional organisational skills, including managing multiple tasks to deadlines. Ability to work with different types of project information, collate feedback, form conclusions and provide guidance. Excellent customer service skills and good written and verbal communication skills. Knowledge or experience of project and or / programme management. About us.
