About the Role
As the Health & Safety Officer, you will ensure all BPH sites operate safely, legally, and in line with company standards. You'll combine practical onsite support with wider safety leadership, including policy development, risk management, and staff training.
You'll work closely with operations, workshops, field engineers, transport, and management teams to foster a strong safety culture and continually reduce workplace risks.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out regular site inspections and provide onsite safety leadership
* Develop, review, and update Health & Safety policies and procedures
* Deliver staff training, inductions, and toolbox talks
* Conduct risk assessments and support departments with implementing controls
* Monitor legal compliance and ensure industry standards are met
* Lead or support investigations into accidents, incidents, and near misses
* Provide guidance and advice to managers and teams on safe working practices
* Promote a positive safety culture across the business
About You
We're looking for someone who is:
* Confident working across different sites and departments
* Highly organised, with excellent attention to detail
* Strong at communicating with staff at all levels
* Able to influence behaviours and encourage safe working practices
* Proactive, with a genuine passion for health, safety, and wellbeing
Relevant H&S qualifications (e.g., NEBOSH/IOSH) are beneficial, but BPH will support further development for the right candidate.
