Senior Analogue IC Design Engineer Location: Maldon, Essex (Hybrid Working Available) Salary: Up to £75,000 Relocation Assistance Visa Sponsorship Type: Permanent We’re working with a highly innovative technology business based in Maldon, Essex, looking to appoint a Senior Analogue IC Design Engineer to join their growing New Product Engineering team. This is a hands-on design role focused on analogue and mixed-signal IC design for sub-6GHz applications. This is an excellent opportunity for a self-motivated engineer who thrives on technically challenging projects and wants to contribute to the full lifecycle of high-performance integrated circuit design. Key Responsibilities: Design and implement analogue sub-circuits such as filters, VGAs, high-speed multiplexers, bandgaps, PTATs, TIAs, dividers, PLLs, and bias circuits. Work with SiGe BiCMOS and CMOS technologies to develop high-performance IC solutions. Perform verification and simulation, ensuring design targets are met. Collaborate with the test team across multiple sites to define test plans and contribute to ASIC characterisation. Produce high-quality design documentation for all developed blocks. Ensure first-time-right silicon through rigorous design and validation practices. Support product evaluation and improvement cycles post-silicon. Experience & Qualifications: Master’s degree or PhD in Electronic Engineering, Microelectronics or related discipline, or equivalent industrial experience. 5 years of hands-on IC design experience. Strong understanding of analogue and RF design principles including linearity, noise, mismatch, and stability. Expertise in Cadence Virtuoso tools and version control systems. Experience designing in SiGe Bipolar and CMOS processes. Familiarity with IC layout techniques within Cadence Virtuoso. Good understanding of design-for-manufacture principles.
