Salary: £30,000 - £34,000

VisionFR is working closely with a fast-growing International Interior Design/Manufacturing Agency to find an experienced Finance Assistant to support the Management Accountant with the day-to-day smooth running of the finance department. This is a great opportunity to increase your development and gain exposure to a broader area of the business. The Company uses Xero. The company has international exposure. We are looking for someone with a good understanding of Debits and Credits so probably AAT qualified / Studier together with a working knowledge CIS returns and reporting.
Key Responsibilities for Finance Assistant Role
Record and process transactions daily on Xero
Manage invoice and expense approvals
Process supplier invoices and reconcile
Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards and foreign currency
Post journals, such as prepayments and depreciation
Assist with month-end and year-end close for UK entities
Support reporting for departments
Submit monthly CIS returns and annual statements
Help prepare UK VAT returns and liaise with overseas accountants
Manage inter company transactions and weekly payment runs
Provide ad hoc support to the finance team as needed
Key Requirements and Skills of the Finance Assistant
Ideally, 1-2 years as a Finance Assistant or Bookkeeper
AAT qualification (preferred but not essential)
Confident using Xero and Microsoft Excel
Familiar with UK VAT
Familiar with CIS reporting
Organised, proactive, and comfortable working independently
Excellent communication and timekeeping skills
