We have an excellent opportunity for a Senior Mechanical Designer.
Initially 5 days per week in the office - based in Warrington, Cheshire.
SC Security Clearance will be required for this role, so Candidates should be British Citizens with full British Passport, and not have worked outside the UK during the past 5 years.
ROLE DESCRIPTION
The successful Candidate will produce engineering design work packages (specification, drawings, analysis, verification or assessment of engineering, that satisfy the legal and functional requirements.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Experience of working within a highly regulated industry, preferably within the nuclear sector.
Experience in delivering safe, fit-for-purpose, fully integrated and operable design solutions that meet product requirements.
Qualified and experienced user of Aveva 3D
Experience producing design deliverable such as technical reports, technical drawings and layouts, installation method statements, risk assessments.
Experience of mechanical piping design with knowledge of the relevant design standard and legislation e.g. ASME B31.3, PER and PSSR.
Familiarity with machine design and mechanical handing, with knowledge of the relevant design standards and legislation e.g. The Supply of Machinery (Safety) Regulations, LOLER and PUWER.
Familiarity and experience of working and complying with applicable British and ISO Standards.
Ability to liaise with stakeholders across a wide range of specialist areas and at all levels from both technical and non-technical backgrounds.
Experience working in an integrated, multi-disciplinary design delivery team.
Experience working within an asset care delivery function or operational facilities, with experience supporting the implementation of asset care projects during construction / installation / commissioning and responding to Engineering Queries and Fault Observations.
Ideally - experience of working and complying with applicable Sellafield Practices, Processes, Engineering Standards and Engineering Guides.
