Credit controller

Marlow
TPT (UK) Ltd T/a Superstars
Credit controller
£30,000 - £45,000 a year
Posted: 21 September
Offer description

Superstars delivers a premier silent auction service at some of the world's most prestigious events — from high-profile charity galas and business awards to elite international sporting occasions. We specialise in offering bespoke luxury experiences, exclusive hospitality packages, fine artwork, and rare memorabilia.

Renowned for our impeccable service and attention to detail, we provide a seamless, start-to-finish auction experience tailored to the highest standards.

The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Credit Controller to join our growing team. Based in our modern office in Marlow, this is a key role responsible for managing and collecting payments from both individual bidders and direct customers.

This is not your typical credit control position — instead of liaising with corporate finance departments, you'll be engaging directly with high-net-worth individuals from unique and prestigious events around the world. The role demands initiative, discretion, excellent interpersonal skills, and a high level of professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

* Proactively manage the collection of funds from event bidders, ensuring adherence to SLAs and maintaining a polite but firm approach.
* Collaborate with the direct sales team to chase outstanding sales invoices and monitor payment plans.
* Handle and resolve customer queries, escalating to appropriate departments when necessary.
* Maintain clear, accurate records of all credit control activity using our CRM and Excel.
* Upload and reconcile bids and invoices across various platforms.
* Lead on customer collections and cash allocations.
* Manage transactions in multiple currencies and languages with accuracy and confidence.
* Prepare aged debt reports and conduct financial analysis on accounts receivable.
* Support the Finance Director on process improvements and the implementation of a new CRM system.
* Take ownership of debtor meetings, ensuring follow-up actions are recorded and completed.
* Ensure Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are current and well-documented.
* Provide excellent customer service throughout all interactions.
* Undertake ad-hoc duties as required to support the wider team.

Ideal Person

* Proven experience in a credit control role.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills — confident dealing with high-net-worth individuals.
* Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Excel and CRM systems.
* High attention to detail and excellent organisational ability.
* Comfortable working with multiple currencies and international clients.
* A proactive and adaptable approach to work, with a commitment to continuous improvement.

What We Offer

* Competitive Base Salary: £30,000 depending on experience
* Hours: Monday to Friday 9.00am until 5.30pm, office based with some flexibility for remote working.
* Generous Annual Leave: 25 days plus the option to buy or sell holidays.
* Birthday Day Off: Take an extra day off to celebrate your birthday.
* Company Pension Scheme: Matching contribution scheme up to 6%.
* Death in Service: Our scheme has you covered, offering financial security for your loved ones.
* Health Benefits: Generous Medicash health scheme and access to an Employee Assistance Programme for your well-being.
* Vibrant Work Culture: Join a fun, sociable team with Pizza Fridays, casual dress code, and plenty of social events to unwind.
* Long service rewards: Rewards at 5, 10, 15, 20 and 25 years' service.
* Employee Discount Scheme: Enjoy exclusive discounts across a variety of brands and services.
* Growth Opportunities: We believe in your potential, offering a clear path for both personal and professional development in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

In order to be considered, you must have the right to work and live in the UK.
