Esland’s Solo home The Retreat, rated Good by Ofsted, is looking for a Children’s Residential Care Worker to join our passionate, dedicated team. Nestled in a peaceful residential area, The Retreat is a place where children thrive. Our young person enjoys a mix of hobbies, including:
* Outdoors & Experiences: trips to parks, shopping, trampolining meals out and clubs
* Indoors: cooking, movie nights & gaming.
What You’ll Do
* Deliver high-quality care and emotional support to children, ensuring their safety and wellbeing.
* Inspire brighter futures with consistency, compassion, and resilience.
* Be part of a dedicated team in a 365-day service, with structured rotas and long shifts (7.30am–11pm), including sleep-in nights.
What You’ll Earn
* Annual salary: £34,402 – £35,025 (based on £13.45–£13.75 + 8 sleep-ins/month; dependent on qualifications) (Pay rate effective from 1st April 2026)
* Opportunity for additional earnings through enhanced overtime and extra shifts
What You’ll Need
* Full UK Driving Licence
* Must be 21+ and have the right to work in the UK (sponsorship not available)
* Experience in childcare or the wider care sector is required
