Job description

An opportunity has arisen for a TeachingAssistant posts within Horton Park Primary School and thesuccessful candidate will be required to support with thedelivery of high-quality teaching and learning.

Horton Park is a vibrant two-form entryprimary school for children aged 4 to 11 years olds. The schoolboasts excellent facilities and the recent addition of a KeyStage One School Led Resource Provision, which caters for theneeds of children with generic complex needs.

Located in the heart of the Canterburyestate, within the culturally diverse Great Horton area. Theschool possesses an excellent reputation within the local andwider community. The successful candidate will be keen towork with children and staff and will give 100% to the school,they will be able to enjoy their work life, whilst leading andinspiring others. The role may involve supporting specificchildren with additional needs. Candidates must have suitableEnglish, Mathematics and IT skills and will need to provideevidence that they have the skills to do the job.


We will also consider candidates wishing to gain schoolexperience prior to initial teacher training.

The successful candidates will:

· Be educated to GCSE level (or equivalent)in English & Maths


· Have previous experience in a similar role


· Be committed to raising standards


· Be able to motivate and inspire children, staff, parents andGovernors


· Have the ability to lead teams and work effectively as part ofa team


· Be someone who can create an atmosphere in which children canthrive and succeed


· Have excellent interpersonal skills


· Have experience of working with children with SEND(desirable)


· Speak fluent English to an appropriate standard, in line withthe Immigration Act 2016
