Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Senior Care Assistant to join our team at a care home facility. As a Senior Care Assistant, you will be responsible for supervising and supporting the care staff, ensuring the highest quality of care is provided to our residents.
Duties:
* Supervise and lead a team of care assistants, providing guidance and support as needed
* Communicate effectively with residents, their families, and the care team
* Assist in the development and implementation of individualized care plans
* Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of care plans, making adjustments as necessary
* Provide personal care to residents, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
* Administer medications according to prescribed instructions
* Assist with meal preparation as needed
* Maintain accurate records and documentation of resident care activities
* Utilize IT systems for record keeping and communication purposes
* Drive resident outings or appointments as required
Experience:
* Previous experience in a senior care or similar role is highly desirable
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
* Knowledge of care home regulations and best practices
* Proficient in using IT systems for record keeping purposes
