Forklift Driver/Warehouse Operative/ Church Stretton, Shropshire / up to £12.50 per hour
We are currently recruiting for a Forklift Driver/Warehouse Operative with a current FLT licence to join our client, a leading Life Sciences organisation based in Church Stretton. As a crucial member of their warehouse family, you'll be instrumental in ensuring the smooth functioning of daily operations.
Responsibilities:
Forklift Truck Operations
* Safely operate forklift trucks to move goods within the warehouse premises.
* Handle deliveries and waste collections on-site using the forklift.
* Transfer raw materials and other stock items to containers needed for production.
* Adhere to safety protocols while operating the forklift.
Inventory Management
* Conduct regular stock counts, with a focus on solvents.
* Collaborate with the procurement team to suggest orders based on stock levels and available space.
* Perform cycle counting of raw materials for accurate inventory records.
* Work closely with the materials team to ensure all delivery paperwork is provided for checking.
Warehouse Organisation and Maintenance
* Organise and maintain storage spaces for raw materials and waste.
* Keep the warehouse clean, tidy, and well-organised.
* Ensure good stock levels of consumables used in production.
Ideal Person
* Valid forklift driving license or certification. (Counterbalance)
* Attention to detail and accuracy in inventory management.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Strong organisational skills.
* Safety-conscious mindset - Work carefully according to Health & Safety and Quality (ISO9001:2015) guidelines.
* Knowledge of SAP is a strong plus - but not essential.
This role is an 18 month Temporary contract
37.5 hours per week, 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday
