This role is crucial in directly supporting our Healthcare Education Consortium as we anticipate higher demand with new Level 6 apprenticeship programmes launching from September 2025.

The Role
Based at our Headington campus and reporting to the Apprenticeships Manager, you'll be instrumental in supporting the delivery of the University’s Apprenticeship strategy. This role has been specifically created to support the Healthcare Education Consortium, in anticipation of higher demand with new Level 6 apprenticeship programmes expected to go live from September 2025. You'll work closely with employers, potential apprentices, and programme teams within the University to promote, recruit, and sign up apprentices, building crucial relationships along the way.
What Will I Be Doing?
As our Apprenticeships Coordinator, you'll play a vital role in expanding the University's apprenticeship portfolio and number of apprentices. Your main responsibilities will include:
* Manage Admissions: Oversee the full apprentice admissions journey from enquiry to sign-up using our centralised system (Aptem).
* System & Compliance: Administer the ESFA Apprenticeship Service and ensure compliance with DfE rules, supporting internal colleagues and audits.
* Employer Relationships: Build and maintain strong, effective relationships with employers.
* Promote Programmes: Work with marketing and programme teams to promote apprenticeship opportunities
* Support Delivery: Assist faculty with employer engagement and apprentice recruitment.
Which Skills Do I Need?
We're looking for someone with:
* Relevant Experience: Proven experience in the apprenticeship or UK education sector, with strong stakeholder relationship skills and a background in audit-led processes.
* Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with the professionalism to effectively represent the University.
* Organisational Acumen: Strong organisational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a proven ability to manage workloads and meet deadlines.
* Problem-Solving: An adaptable problem-solver, focused on creatively meeting employer needs.
* Essential Knowledge: A solid understanding of apprenticeships in England, post-16 education, and relevant funding rules.

About the Location
Based at our Headington campus, you'll experience the vibrant campus atmosphere and benefit from our modern office environment. The campus is one mile from the centre of Oxford and is served by regular public transport. This role will be hybrid, with an expected requirement to be on campus 1-2 days per week.
