Great Western Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust has around 1.2 million patient contacts a year.
We provide healthcare to the people of Swindon and the surrounding areas, offering the latest treatments and care in hospital, in the local community and in people's own homes.
We provide a range of specialist services from the Great Western Hospital in Swindon, located just off junction 15 of the M4.
Our large and modern hospital has around 480 beds, numerous outpatient clinics, CT and MRI scanners, maternity services, an Intensive Care Unit, an Urgent Care Centre and a 24/7 Emergency Department.
We also support people to stay well and out of hospital, to manage long term conditions and provide care in local community facilities and in people's own homes across Swindon.

We are looking to recruit a Procurement Manager to join our non-Clinical IT Team and our Clinical Sourcing Team to provide a customer centric service to drive the sourcing of value for money products and services to support the delivery of high-quality clinical care to our patients.
The successful candidates will have the flexibility to be based at either in Royal United Hospitals in Bath, Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust or Great Western Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust in Swindon.

Support a Sourcing workstream that embraces ICS working with an operating model aligned to the Procurement Strategy and Target Operating Model for NHS procurement, NHS Procurement Standards and ‘Carter Performance Metrics’
Work as part of a resilient and sustainable ‘Go To’ workstream that is professional, fit for purpose, innovative and embraces the values and behaviours of the BSW constituent organisations, recognising good procurement practice as a business imperative.
Help develop and implement the strategy for a varied purchasing portfolio consisting of Goods, Services or Works, ensuring that all procurement is undertaken in accordance with European Public Procurement Regulations, Standing Orders, Standing Financial Instructions and operational requirements of the Trust.
Identify and negotiate the most effective level and method of purchase to meet the needs of the customer and deliver significant savings and service enhancements expressed in financial or other terms. Ensure data, product catalogues and systems reflect contracted prices.
Support the delivery of the workstream sourcing plan for BSW constituent organisations, including sustainable cost reductions, contract compliance, catalogue management and contract management.

Essential criteria
* Level 4 Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply and studying for full professional accreditation.
* Higher National Diploma in business or another related subject.
Desirable criteria
* Educated to degree level min 2:1 in business or another related subject.
* Good standard of general management qualifications
Experience
Essential criteria
* Evidence of non-pay planning and delivering demonstrable savings.
* Experienced in product category experience.
* Ability to lead collaborative projects.
* Supervisory experience within a small category team.
* Fully conversant with Public Sector Procurement, Rules and Policy Framework. Latest Procurement, Sourcing, Spend Analytics IT and finance technology. Good knowledge of commercial and procurement law
