Development Underwriting Executive
Location: Cheltenham Outskirts
Salary: Up to £32,000 + Uncapped Commission

* You will be a key conduit between our broker partners and capacity providers, managing referrals, inbound and outbound calls from brokers and ensuring the correct risks are going on cover with us
* You need to be comfortable managing large volumes of referrals and leads through phone and email volume
* Industry experience would be ideal but doesn't have to be from an Underwriting background
* People person who will be comfortable building relationships and maximizing them
* Strong data analysis to drive partners forward
* Implementation planning and stakeholder management (internal and external)

You’ll act as the key link between brokers and insurers, helping to interpret risk, explain policy details clearly, and ensure new business placements run smoothly. Must Haves
* Strong communication skills — confident and clear over the phone and in writing
* Great relationship‑building abilities with both internal and external partners
* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy when handling data and policy information
* A proactive, self‑starting attitude with the ability to manage your own workload
* Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, target‑driven environment
Nice to Haves
* Previous experience in insurance, underwriting, financial services, or mortgages
* Experience using CRM systems and managing customer relationships
* Understanding of policy wordings, risk presentations, or delegated authority
* A team‑player mindset, keen to learn and support colleagues
