An exciting opportunity is available within Drumpark Primary School, North Lanarkshire Council, to assist children with additional support needs.
As a Learning Assistant (ASN), you will work with children, some of whom have severe or complex needs, supporting them in their school environment.
Your duties will include caring for children, assisting with personal hygiene, maintaining hygiene supplies, and managing daily reception, departure, messenger, or escort duties. You may also prepare classroom materials, operate teaching aids, and handle reprographic work.
Recent voluntary or school-based experience working with children is essential, along with good communication and interpersonal skills. Willingness to undertake NHS or Education training is also required. Experience with children who have additional needs is desirable.
Prior to starting, you must become a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme.
Work Pattern:
27.5 hours/week - Monday to Friday, 9am to 3pm (5.5 hours/day)
20 hours/week - Monday to Friday, 10am to 1pm (4 hours/day)
